Skincare Products We’ve Been Trying Out And Absolutely Loving

Skincare products

My beauty corner is witnessing a bit of a coup. Till now, the foundations, concealers etc were putting up a good fight but it’s a losing battle. Skincare is taking over. The serums, moisturisers, toners are marching to the frontlines and demanding their place in my routine and actually, skincare is winning. I mean, what do you expect from me? We’re stuck at home with nowhere to go. All the makeup is just sitting there on my vanity, alternating between being grumpy and then wistful about the times I would wear them. Meanwhile, my skincare products are doing all the work.

I have been really investing in my skincare routine right now. I do all the steps. Sure, it’s no Korean beauty regime with 22 steps but hey, I am doing the CTM and then adding in the extras like serums and whatnot. I feel very fancy. Allow me to walk you through some of the products in my skincare routine that my skin and I have taken quite a liking to.

Dr. Sheth’s Basic Brightening Daily Cleanser

Every day, I dedicatedly clean my skin because it has been ingrained in my head that sleeping with an unclean face will give you pimples. And to get rid of all the gunk and grime, I use the Dr. Sheth’s Basic Brightening Daily Cleanser. It has tiny little beads in it that disappear when you apply this on your face. My only thing is that it doesn’t lather up quickly but it still does a fab job of making my face clean. Skincare by dermats for the win!

Dermafique Bio Cellulose Masques

Before I tuck myself into bed with my skin looking like glazed doughnut, I have to do a lot of things. For example, mask. On most days, this is my step after cleansing my face. What I love about these masques is that unlike other sheet masks that end up in a landfill somewhere, these are actually disappear. Skincare and earth care. Yay!

Lakmé Absolute Perfect Radiance Skin Brightening Day Crème

It’s not like I am going anywhere but every morning, I religiously apply the Lakmé Absolute Perfect Radiance Skin Brightening Day Crème and feel like I have done my bit for my skin. What I love about this product is that it’s not thick and heavy, it literally sinks into my skin. It’s like my skin has had a big, giant gulp of water. This is skincare done right. Oh btw, this product is now made to reduce plastic usage so it’s environmentally friendly also. Yay.

Dermalogica Prisma Protect SPF 30

Look, sometimes, skincare comes at a pretty price. I am not saying you need to always shell out big bucks but this sunscreen is worth every penny you spend on it. It has a really nice fragrance, a thing I really enjoy in my skincare but I know that people are wary of. This product goes on smooth, like butter. Except you don’t want butter on your face. But that’s not what I meant. I meant it goes on well, it leaves a slightly white cast but that goes away quickly. Leaves you without feeling greasy and protects your skin.
