Remember the time when pot-gel liners were such a massive rave? If I recall correctly, for a brief moment, they very courteously replaced your kohl pencils and bottled liquid eyeliners (the era before the launch of felt-tips). With a consistency that was neither too dry nor too runny, the gel-liner suddenly became hot in the beauty world. Similarly, Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner is great for the working-gal, as it creates a dramatic eye without all that panda-eye drama (you all know what I am talking about).

Now, for someone with coffee-induced shaky hands just like myself, easy application is essential for me to give any beauty product the green light. This gel-liner comes with a brush applicator which allows for smooth, clean application. When I was lining my eyes, the thin, curved brush easily transferred the creamy gel onto my eyelid in just one go, without leaving any unfilled gaps in the line. As promised, this product gives a high-intensity, rich payoff, which is what causes that dramatic effect.

One of the main reasons I love this product is its long-lasting formula (enough to go through a day of work). I am a fan of the liquid felt-liner, but the unfortunate disclaimer is that without an afternoon touch-up, you end up looking like you were part of a midday brawl (black eye alert!). However, I found that the gel-liner lasted through the day, without smudging or transferring onto the various parts of my eye. And the plus side? I didn’t have to scrub out the product from my eyes at they end of the day, as it easily washed away with soap and water. A great addition to your eye makeup kit, Maybelline’s Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner is perfect for a city girl’s everyday use.
