After Kylie Cosmetics, Kylie Jenner Hints At A Skincare Line!

The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kylie Jenner, is bringing the most cash in. She worth roughly $900 million, according to Forbes’ magazine, is a mommy already, a beauty mogul, and is one of the most celebrated businesswomen. Her cosmetic line, Kylie Cosmetics, is a smashing hit, and every move of hers goes viral! One would think that Kylie has it all and can even retire at mere 21. But this boss chic is busy planning the future and expanding her brand name.

According to a report by The Trade Mark Ninja, Kylie filed not one, not two, but all of three trademark applications last Thursday with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. One for “Kylie Skin by Kylie Jenner” and two for, simply, “Kylie Skin.” Kylie Skin by Kylie Jenner and Kylie Skin are both for a range of skin care products that will include  moisturisers, cleansers, toners, scrubs, serums, masks, etc. The second Kylie Skin application is for retail store services featuring skincare products, skincare preparation products, cosmetics, cosmetic preparations and gifts.

Not all trademarks filed often end up into substantial businesses,  but since her makeup line is a hit, the next natural step seems to expand her brand name into skincare. With brands like Glossier being such a hit, naturally glowing skin, and investing in skin care really is going to be the order of the season for the beauty industry. Perhaps, now that she is 21-years-old (really getting old there!?) she is leaning more towards skin care.

Kylie had also mentioned in her Forbes’ self-made interview that even though she is currently at $900 million in sales, her growth has begun to slow with lip-kit revenue dipping an estimated 35 per cent from approximately $153 million in 2016 to $99 million.  This is obviously a good enough reason for her to diversify her line. Though skincare is a competitive line, Kylie has proved in the past that her followers would buy anything she puts her name on.
