For many years, I was oblivious to the fact that I am, indeed, ageing. Sure, on every birthday, I whined about becoming a year older, but basically, it didn’t affect me.

You see, I’m a pretty short, tiny person, so, believe it or not, I automatically look younger — overall. Which is why, no matter how much I’ve been ridiculed about my height, it has genuinely never bothered me.

But recently, I noticed something that mortified me. In photos, my skin was looking dull, there were fine lines on it, and generally it looked like it had aged overnight. Naturally, I panicked. I am, after all, on the wrong side of 30.

I started zooming into each photo as much as the phone would allow, and scrutinising every line, every pore I spotted. And I got sadder and sadder.

What I had been hearing for years, that your skin is the first to age and that you *must* start an anti-ageing routine as soon as you hit 25, had finally become a reality. My skin was ageing, and that too, far too rapidly for my liking.

After the initial panic subsided, I decided to take charge of the situation — after all, better late than never, right?

Serendipitously, we received the Kiehl’s Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream at the Hauterfly HQ for a review. Obviously, I grabbed it with both hands. But even I didn’t realise at the time that my life was about to change *insert dramatic K-serial music*.

Kiehl’s Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream

The Kiehl’s Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream comes in a small 50ml bottle that packs in quite a punch. I started using it after my cleanse-tone ritual before bed every night and, believe it or not, I started noticing a difference almost immediately.

The texture of my skin felt smoother after the very first application, and my skin started looking brighter, clearer, with fewer lines within a week #IKidYouNot.

The consistency of the cream is pretty thick and heavy, so you need to be sure to use just a little bit, especially if you have oily skin like I do. What I do is just a take a little bit on my finger, dot in on my face and neck, and then massage it into my skin until there is no stickiness or residue.

This post was a week after I started using the Kiehl’s Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream. I decided to do a mini spa sesh at home, so I applied the Vichy Double Glow Peel Mask, following it up with the Himalaya toner, and the Kiehl’s renewing cream.

Both my skin (and heart) looked better and felt better — #NoFilter and all! Sure, my nose looks weird and you could play football on my forehead, but hey, this one’s about the skin!

I’ve been using this cream for close to 2 months now, and I gotta admit, I’m a convert. Yes, the price is a bit steep, but as you can see, it lasts you a good 3 months, if not more, and is worth every last paise. In short, I refuse to age, so Imma do whatever it takes to stop time.
