Kendall Jenner’s Makeup Artist Gives Us A Strategic Primer Tip For Oily Skin

Makeup lovers with oily skin, it’s time to rejoice! I just found one of the simplest makeup tips, like…EVER! Aidan Keogh, Kendall Jenner’s favorite NYC-based makeup artist, shared some must-know beauty tips with Byrdie Beauty. While a lot of those tips are the usual, powdering your lashes before applying mascara kind of stuff, this one primer trick might’ve just changed my life. And it’s so simple!

So many times, those of us who suffer from oily skin have to opt for a matte look. The whole glowing, dewy thing just doesn’t work. But, as it turns out, Aidan Keogh has just the solution.

The secret to a dewy look is layering tons of moisturiser with an illuminating base. Only then do you proceed to corrector, concealer, or foundation. So once you’re done with your cleansing and toning step, move on to a product that deeply nourishes and hydrates your skin. Oftentimes, skin that’s lacking moisture can send your pores into overdrive, which can cause them to excrete even more oil than it’s supposed to.

Once you’ve complete this step, apply half a coin-sized amount of liquid illuminator across your face. Concentrate the product on your cheekbones, the centre of your forehead, the bridge of your nose, and your chin.

Next, and here’s Aidan’s genius suggestion, apply a matte primer made for oily skin only to the areas that secrete oil. Apply some around the corners of your nose, on your chin, and the area above your brows.
