Get The Look: Shraddha Kapoor’s Tousled Waves (Without Heat!)

The thing with hair is that it’s extremely volatile. You either struggle with frizzy, unruly hair or you’ve straight, limp hair that won’t do a thing. Almost each one of us wishes there was a middle ground where it looked like we have something interesting going on which isn’t too much effort. So when we spotted Shraddha Kapoor’s tousled waves, we knew we wanted in on how to nail that look. It’s not tight and curly so everyone knows about your date with the curling iron. But it’s also not straight, thereby not inducing a yawn.

If this is a look you particularly enjoy, we break it down for you right here so keep scrolling and thank us later.

Step 1: Wash Up!

We know you thought that having beachy waves would mean you could have dirty hair, but that’s not how it works. You’ll need clean hair, so get in there and get working with the shampoo.

Step 2: Work In Product

Once you’ve towel dried your hair, apply a serum, cream or volumising mousse to your hair. But don’t go all over, you only want it from the middle to the ends. Be generous though.

Step 3: Braid-y bunch

Now separate your hair into sections, and tie them into braids. For tousled waves, you don’t have to create too many braids, 2 to 3 should do just fine. Catch up on your zzzs.

Step 4: Undo And Reveal

In the morning, unravel the braid with your fingers and give it hold with a hairspray. Walk out feeling like a million bucks and like you’ve just left the salon!
