Get The Look: PC’s Makeup Is All About Minimalism

I think we are way beyond awwing over Priyanka Chopra’s accomplishments — we already know that she’s pretty much the goddess of everything. Recently, PC was named the global ambassador of Nirav Modi. The recent campaign advert that was released on Valentine’s Day will not only give you couple goals, but will also give you MAJOR makeup goals. Like, seriously! If you are one who loves keeping things bare and nude on your face, you’re going to love this. The fresh and dewy effect is a soft, romantic look, which any girl who has that minimalism vibe going on can pull off. We caught up with makeup artist and maestro Mickey Contractor, who walked us through the idea behind Piggy Chops’ barely-there makeup.

“The look is simple, chic and classy — just like Nirav Modi jewellery. People have also started to enjoy minimal makeup a lot more now, so that’s how we’ve kept it,” he said. “Being yourself is important; play easy on your makeup. Be natural, that’s all.” We know you must be dying to try out this subtle yet dewy and gorgeous look, and that’s what we’re here for! A perfect look that is adaptable for day and night, we think that you should memorise this, because we’re sure it’s going to be your go-to. So, hang on as the #HauteSquad deconstructs Priyanka Chopra’s makeup from the new Nirav Modi ad. We bet you’re going to try this on date night, right girls?

BASE

After cleansing your skin, take a pea-size amount of your moisturising primer — choose one that will have a pearly finish to it, in order to provide a natural glow even under your makeup. Once you’ve set your primer, dab a dewy based foundation onto your skin and voilà! Your base is set. Dust on a little highlighter in order to pop your cheekbones and add that little shimmer and shine.

EYES

As you can see, the makeup around her eyes is minimalistic, so use a neutral eye shadow pigment on your eyes. A brownish nude tone would add some colour to your eyes, without being OTT. Take a smokey black pencil and line your upper waterline with it. Don’t go too overboard with the lining, just stick to something simple and subtle. Create a nice full effect on your lashes with a mascara that won’t clump. Again, the point is to do it without making it seem like you have any makeup on. Make your brows appear fuller, but stick to that natural look — you don’t have to go all Cara Delevigne on them with this look.
