Get The Look: Style Your Curls Like Saiyami Kher

Saiyami Kher, the freshest talent on the block, has been catching our attention with her disarming beauty and impeccable style. Saiyami’s been sporting her all-natural curls at promos for her upcoming film, Mirzya. For those of us dealing with wild curls on the daily, we know how difficult taming all that craziness can be. Thanks to leading ladies like Kangana Ranaut and Saiyami Kher, embracing our real hair feels so cool, but how do we get our curls to look on point without running to the salon?

Here’s exactly how. This method requires minimum time and effort, so it’s a win-win

TIGI BED HEAD Superstar Shampoo

1. Wash Your Hair With A Curl-Friendly Shampoo

This one seems like a no-brainer — wash your hair before you style it. But experiment with different shampoos. I never stick to one. Find shampoos that work well with your hair. For curly hair, I love the TIGI Bedhead Superstar Sulfate Free Shampoo. Don’t forget to use a conditioner too, even better if it’s a moisturising mask.

2. Pat & Don’t Rub Your Hair

Try keeping a separate towel just for your hair. Make sure it’s soft and use it in a patting motion. Rubbing strips your hair of its moisture. If you like wrapping your hair for a few minutes to dry it before you style it, then opt for a lightweight towel or hair wrap that doesn’t pull on your scalp.

3. Leave-In Conditioner

Use a leave-in conditioner on wet hair, and then comb out the tangles with a wide-toothed comb once the hair dries a little. Make sure the product doesn’t touch the roots. Try the B-Blunt Curl Defining Leave-In Cream.

4. Mousse

Section your hair into about 5 parts — it doesn’t have to be done in a super professional way. Add mousse to each section, like the Wella Professionals Boost Bounce Mousse, and diffuse dry with a hair dryer — no combing or brushing, just semi-dry each section the way it is.

TRESemmé Thermal Creations Heat Spray

5. Heat Protector

Use a damage and heat-protecting spray on your hair after you’re done styling it. It’ll make sure the frizz stays at bay all day. The TRESemmé Thermal Creations spray does the job and adds a layer of shine to your hair too.

Once you’ve styled your hair, pin it up or wear it down, and have fun with it! Just make sure you don’t touch your hair too much throughout the day. Curly hair doesn’t react well to fidgeting.
