Truth be told, I’ve never been a big believer in anti-aging potions and lotions. But as I’ve grown older and started seeing the appearance of fine lines, I’ve begun to pay more attention to what I put on my face to combat those vanity-piercing signs of natural aging.

And if there’s any company that has the science of anti-aging down pat, it’s got to be Estée Lauder. The beauty giant deploys an array of age-defying creams and serums that promise to turn back the hands of time.

And so when this product landed on my desk a few weeks ago, I decided to take it for a spin with a high dose of skepticism intact. But this pricey little jar of goodness has totally won me over, prompting me to write this rave review.

The anti-aging cream is not a primer but it works brilliantly under makeup, it is not a serum but seems to have the same kind of potency. It not only moisturises but also softens fine lines and firms up the skin, and over time works to seemingly reduce the size of your pores.

Atleast that’s what it did to my skin. I’ve been using it religiously day and night for 3 weeks straight, and I can honestly say my skin both looks and feels good. Like really, really good.

The brand’s secret sauce seems to be a very potent and stable extract from the Moringa plant, which they claim boosts the skin’s defences against environmental aggressors like smoke and pollution, as well as increases collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production.

Translation? Plumper, brighter, younger-looking skin.

If you have dry skin, you’ll love this rich moisturiser. But if you’re an oily-skinned girl like me, you’ll probably love it more. No, really.

Even though it is a rich gel-cream, it feels super silky and lightweight after application. It wears really well under makeup all day, and I never wake up with that oil-slick feeling after putting it on overnight either. The texture is fantastic, and it hydrates deeply without feeling greasy at all. In my books, that’s such a big win.

I cannot say enough nice things about this cream — the texture, the scent, the effect. It’s light but packs a serious punch!
