This Shea Butter Mask Is Aindrila’s New Skin Hydrating Potion

By  |

I have combination skin, inclined towards dry. So moisturising and hydrating my skin is a daily ritual that I’ve been following for many years now.

But I realised that, as you hit your 30s, skincare needs to gain titanic priority. And what with the heat, pollution, sweat, and dirt that we live in and need to battle every single day, it becomes imperative that you listen to your skin, unless you love crow’s feet and dull skin. Which I’m sure none of us do, right?

Every once in a while, I also like treating my skin. And that’s the time I go a on a rampage with face masks. Every other weekend, I like indulging in some quick beauty treatments, and the easiest kind is to opt for one of the various face packs or masks that are available in the market. So rest assured, I’ve had my fair share of trials and errors.

While I’ve been using Innisfree masks for a while now (I usually stick to their aloe and lime masks), last weekend I decided to try their shea butter variant. Besides, my skin was feeling inordinately dry and I needed something that’d pamper and moisturise my face at the same time.

Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask-Shea Butter

TBH, without thinking much, I picked up the Korean brand’s It’s Real Squeeze Mask-Shea Butter because a) I love the smell of shea butter, b) I needed something creamy enough that’d be a good hydrant for my skin; and c) I hadn’t tried this mask before.

I usually keep a weekend afternoon for all my beauty rituals. Last Saturday, I tried the shea butter mask. I applied the sheet on my face, took a quick nap for 15-20 minutes, and then removed it. The soft shea butter does really hydrate dry skin from within, and my skin definitely felt smoother and softer.

The mask gave me a healthy glow, probably because of the Jeju green complex that consists of green tea, tangerine, cactus, camellia leaves, and orchids. The triple-layer sheet not only moisturises, but also give your face a sheen from within, which I absolutely loved.

I’d highly recommend the Innisfree It’s Real Squeeze Mask-Shea Butter if you, like me, have issues with dry and dull skin. Use it once a week to start off with, I’d say, and you’ll almost instantly be able to tell the difference.
