Give a girl a lipstick and she can conquer the world. Here at Hauterfly HQ, almost all of us are lipstick junkies. Whether or not we’re fans of makeup (I’m talking to you, Japleen!), a lipstick is all we need to perk things up. And incidentally, everyone has their eyes set on a red, coral, or pink shade.
As I’ve mentioned several times before, I’m a massive fan of nude lips; bright colours scare me. But when the fun season of summer hit, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and give bright colours a chance. And boy, was I surprised! A bright lip goes with anything and looks absolutely fab, complimenting the sunny weather outside.
This season is known for bringing on pastels and statement lips (we are still vicariously living through the bold lip that Aishwarya brought to the Cannes Film Festival last year). Move over from nudes and browns like I did, and get a little experimental with brighter hues.
