Skin-baring dresses require a little more effort, especially if you want to perfect the look from top to toe.
1. Exfoliate
Plan your day accordingly — this step starts in the shower. Exfoliate with a scrub that nourishes and sloughs off dead skin cells. Rinse yourself with warm water and work the scrub in circular motions.

2. For Those Hard-To-Reach Places
Try an exfoliating brush or back exfoliator to reach areas like your back — a vital step if you’re wearing a backless blouse.

3. Hair Removal
Hair removal is like an extra exfoliation step: it cleanses and evens out your skin, as well as removes hair. I find shaving to be the best method, but of course, that requires the perfect razor.

4. Moisturise
After you step out of the shower, pat your exfoliated skin dry (don’t rub) and apply a calming moisturiser that adds to the glow of your skin, without being too heavy and clogging your pores.

5. Correct
If you’re conscious of marks or pigmentation on your body, treat it like your face and cover it up. Try a peach corrector and use your fingers (or get help) to dab some product on the spot. Then, go over the corrector by dabbing a little bit of your foundation on top of it.

6. Illuminate
Use a bronzer or body glow as a final step to illuminate your skin and give it that extra wow factor, so you stand out at the party! If you don’t have bronzer, you can add a liquid illuminator to your body lotion and apply it all over. Be careful if you’ve applied foundation, you’ll want to dab on top of those spots, instead of rubbing and messing up your body makeup.
