15 Pore Minimising Products You’re Missing Out On

I get asked this question fairly often: How can I make my pores look smaller? I know only too well how annoying large pores can be. First in the line of several peeves is they are so large that they make skin look aged; since they are open they attract dirt and sweat, get clogged, and aid in the formation of blackheads; their tendency to get clogged means they only get bigger (aargh, could it get worse?); clogged pores roughly translates to acne; and they eat up foundation like nobody’s business. Obviously, we hang on to every little nugget of information that will shrink pores.

Large pores are usually a dead giveaway of oily skin. However, age also has a lot to do with their appearance. As we age, collagen and elastic production decrease and skin begins to sag, pulling the walls of each pore along with it. However, all hope is not lost yet. First you’ve got to ensure that your pores are clear of dead skin, dirt and excess sebum (basically anything that can clog and stretch it out). You can use pore clarifying and tightening products to make them look smaller. You may also use primers and mattifiers to soften the outline of pores. Here’s a round-up of some of the best products to do the same:
