#HauteList: The Best Beauty Launches Of June 2016

There’s never a dull day in Beautyville. There are tons of products hitting the shopping aisles Every. Single. Day. Products that promise nothing but the best, begging you to upgrade your beauty game. While a true-blue beauty junkie will swear that it takes nerves of steel to not wilfully go bankrupt, one has to ask the pertinent question: are these products worth the hype? That’s where we come in. In our monthly Best of Beauty series, we go through the process of rounding up some of the best new releases in skincare, haircare, makeup, the works. We sift through the gimmicks and tall claims and present to you products that definitely live up to the hype.

 

1. Garnier Ultra Blends Henna & Blackberry Nourishing Shine Shampoo (Rs 230)

Garnier launched their new range of shampoos and conditioners called Ultra Blends last week, where each product has been made with a blend of two or more natural ingredients. The range addresses various hair issues and considering its natural claims, it’s a range we were really excited about. We put the Henna & Blackberry Nourishing Shine Shampoo to the test. 2. Maybelline New York The Blushed Nudes Palette (Rs 899)

The Blushed Nude Palette is a worthy dupe for Urban Decay’s Naked 3 Palette, and has 12 of the prettiest shimmery eyeshadows. The rose gold-inspired shades are meant for creating soft smoky eyes. The blendable colours have a smooth texture that makes application a total dream.

 

3. L’Oréal Paris True Match Genius 4-in-1 Foundation (Rs 1,295)

The True Match Genius 4-in-1 Foundation blends seamlessly because of its unique formulation of a priming gel, a creamy base, and a mineral powder pigment. I think this product is great for girls on the go. It preps like a primer, covers like a foundation, corrects like a concealer, and sets your makeup. If what you want is minimal coverage, the True Match Genius 4-in-1 Foundation is definitely for you.

 

4. L’Oréal Paris Caresse CC Balm Genius in Daydream Beige (Rs 650)

Did you know that glosses and lip tints from the 90s are coming back in a big way? The Caresse CC Balm Genius promises to hydrate lips for up to 12 hours. The balm offers a wash of sheer colour that’s easily buildable and imparts a beautiful nourishing shine to your pucker. Take note, the subtle stain is not slippery or messy like its 90s counterpart.

 

5. Plum Chamomile & White Tea Calming Antioxidant Toner (Rs 342)

This alcohol-free toner from the organic brand Plum is enriched with vitamin B3, soothing agents like chamomile, rooibos leaf, white tea and olive leaf, and antioxidant-rich white tea, Gingko biloba, and olive leaf extract. Free of parabens, phthalates, propylene glycol, SLS, DEA and PABA, the vegan toner is intensely refreshing and soothing.

 

6. Inveda Blackcurrant Body Wash (Rs 350)

The mild body wash is perfect for soothing and softening skin while gently cleansing it without drying it. The body wash from this organic brand is enriched with chamomile, green tea and blackcurrant and does not dry out skin.

 

7. Lakmé Enrich Matte in OM 12 (Rs 295)

Lakmé’s latest Enrich Matte lipsticks are available in 20 shades, including a host of pinks, browns, oranges, and reds that suit Indian complexions. The matte lipsticks are extremely comfortable to wear. Unlike other matte formulas, the Enrich Mattes aren’t drying thanks to their creamy texture enriched with Vitamin E and olive extracts. 8. Natio Maximum Curl Mascara (Rs 955)

This natural beauty brand from Australia just brought out a mascara that offers thicker and uplifted peepers. The lightweight, water-resistant formula is made with water and naturally derived waxes, and keeps lashes hydrated and flexible all day long. The curved brush separates lashes and opens up the eyes like a dream.
