#LFW2017: Day 2 Showcases Yellow Lids And Tribal Elements

After all the gold we caught on Day 1 of Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2017, it’s time to transition into Day 2 and discover all the wonderful new trends we spotted. Two of the biggest statements on yesterday’s runways were the tribal elements and pastel-hued lids. Let’s take a look at these out-of-the-box, experimental looks.

1. Green & Yellow Lids

Day 2 was all about sustainable fashion. For the Padmaja, Indigene, and Naushad Ali shows, Fat Mu Makeup created a vivacious makeup look to complement the avant garde styles created with sustainable textiles.

The look consists of a sweep of pastel yellow across the lids and a patch of pastel green on the brow bone. The rest of the face is all about clean skin.

2. Tribal Elements

Day 2 of Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017 also celebrated indigenous, traditional artisans of Kutch. The designers that took part in this show were Somaiya Kala Vaidya, Chaman Siju, Sufiyan with Madame Hall, and Shrujan.

The makeup look was also reminiscent of an ethnic, tribal look, but with an added cool factor. Each model wore her own version of this tribal look. We saw various versions of lines drawn across the lids or patterns around the brows and eyes. The addition of hair twisted up with cloth and silver accessories completed the looks.
