Cannes veteran, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has proven she’s anything but ordinary, with her metallic hued dual toned fish-cut ensemble on the red carpet this time. The gown may not be on the top of the list (it certainly didn’t work for us!) but her makeup was absolutely smashing. Nothing to fault there. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s makeup perfectly complemented her shimmering gown designed by Jean-Louis Sabaji. She kept her hairdo simple with a side part. The actress absolutely aced the minimalist makeup look with a glossy lipstick. The actress has always been open to experimentation and her makeup proves that she’s the quintessential diva. She set a new beauty trend this year i.e the ear makeup. Aishwarya may not set a mark with her mermaid gown but her makeup had us swooning. Step 1: Apply a transition colour on the eyelids and crease.
Step 2: Build up the eyeshadow with an amber shade.
Step 3: Pat on some gold eyeshadow.
Step 4: Apply winged liner for definition.
Step 5: Apply kajal on the waterline.
Step 6: Coat lashes with mascara.
Step 7: Wear false lashes to make your eye look more dramatic.
Step 8: Contour your cheekbones.
Step 9: Apply blush and highlighter for that extra glow!
Step 10: Finish off with a glossy pink lipstick.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended the festival as an ambassadors for L’Oréal Paris which completed 21 years as an official partner for Cannes . She made her Cannes debut in 2000 with the cast of Devdas. Aishwarya will be seen in Mani Ratnam’s next period drama in a negative role and we can’t wait to see her.
