Paris Fashion Week_Featured_Hauterfly

Another season, another fashion week passes us by. Paris Fashion Week just got over, leaving us with an onslaught of inspiration for the entire year to come. If it’s Parisian, you know it’s cool. And brands, high-street labels, and fashionistas get up and take notice of everything that comes down the PFW runway.

Every season, there are some iconic looks that set the stage for beauty looks to come. So let’s take a look at 5 of the best beauty trends from Paris Fashion Week 2017; some inspired by social media and some will inspire more social media: such is the circle of life.

1. The No Makeup Look

The no makeup look makes a comeback, well… it might’ve never left.

Shows like Loewe, Ellery, and Stella McCartney featured fresh, clean faces. Makeup artists, like the genius Pat McGrath created layered minimal looks.

These looks were all about letting the models’ individuality shine through.

2. Cat Eyes

We saw a multitude of cat-eye looks at Paris Fashion Week. There were variations from good ol’ liner to cat eyeshadow looks.

Oh, and you can’t miss this lip jewellery combined with a graphic cat eye at the Balmain show.

Valentino used pink hues to create their runway-ready cat eyes.

3. Head Pieces & Accessories

Hair accessories added a touch of glam to the already stunning looks.

Dior and Chanel had their own take on head pieces.

H&M gave us some throwback vibes by putting models in classic head bands.

4. Graphic Eyes

Chanel, Maison Margiela, Alexis Mabille, and many other designers had their models walking down with dreamy, avant-garde eye looks.

Some of the looks were way too OTT to wear in real life.

But we can always take inspiration and work them down to something wearable off the runway. Long story short, this year’s going to be all about having fun with different shapes and colors on your eyes.

5. Super Short Hair

This year, Paris Fashion Week was about celebrating individuality, above all. A lot of shows had different hairdos on each model, embracing the model’s natural hair.

This gave way to a lot of punk and ’90s trends – pixie cuts, buzz cuts, and bowl cuts.

So, if you’re looking to get wild and wacky with your hair, this is your year!
