How To Prevent Kohl From Smudging Ft Kiara Advani?

Author I Sneha Ghorai

Prep prep

Start with clean, dry eyelids. You can even use a little bit of eye primer to create a smooth base for your kohl.

Right product

Look for a kohl pencil that is labelled as "smudge-proof" or "long-lasting." Gel or waterproof formulas are also good options.

Apply in thin layers

Instead of one thick line, apply your kohl in thin layers. This will help it to set better and prevent smudging.

Set with powder

After applying your kohl, gently dab a little bit of translucent powder over it.

Eyeshadow

You can also use a thin line of eyeshadow in the same color to set your kohl.

Avoid the waterline

Applying kohl to your waterline can make it more likely to smudge. If you do apply it there, make sure to use a waterproof formula.

No excess

If you notice any excess kohl on your lashes or in the corners of your eyes,  get rid of it gently.

Set it!

After you've finished your makeup, lightly mist your face with a setting spray.
