Which Are The 10 Most Miserable Countries In The World? See List

157 countries were analysed by Steve Hanke for the Annual Misery Index (HAMI). Here are the top 10 most miserable countries in the world.

Zimbabwe  Zimbabwe ranks first on the most miserable countries list and high inflation and unemployment are credited for its poor condition.  

Venezuela  Venezuela was second in this list with inflation being the cause of the misery there.

Syria  Syria, a war-stricken nation, is third on this list and the reason of its misery is high enemployment.

Lebanon, Sudan and Argentina  These countries are fourth, fifth and sixth on the miserable countries list and inflation is responsible for their poor living conditions.

Yemen, Ukraine and Cuba stand seventh, eight and ninth respectively on the misery index.

Turkey  Turkey is tenth on this most miserable countries list as its inflation stands at 64.34 per cent.

India India ranks 103 on this list and unemployment was credited for the same whereas Pakistan stood at the 35th rank and skyrocketed inflation was responsible for it.
